Dr Peter Mangles is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Sauvetage, with over 30 years of international experience in healthcare, hospital systems, ambulance and emergency services, human services, and aged care. As a Registered Nurse and Paramedic with postgraduate qualifications in Management, Leadership, and Education, he has held senior executive and board roles across Australia, the UK, Norway, Singapore, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Middle East. Dr Mangles is known for his strategic insight and ethical leadership, having served as CEO and Director in tertiary hospitals and complex service organizations, including aged care, disability, and mental health. He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a Chartered Manager (UK), and a Certified Practicing Manager (IML ANZ).
Through Sauvetage, Dr Mangles delivers independent, evidence-based advice and professional services to healthcare and human services organisations seeking transformation and sustainability. Mrs Annette Mangles brings over 30 years of clinical and infection prevention and control expertise to Sauvetage, having led public health responses in some of the most challenging global environments. She played a key role during the Ebola epidemic in West Africa, working with the CDC and WHO to implement infection control protocols and frontline training. In Australia, she supported the COVID-19 pandemic response through rigorous outbreak management and IPC strategies. Her international contributions also include leading HIV prevention and care programs in Papua New Guinea, addressing both clinical and community needs with cultural awareness and evidence-based practice.
